About the  Cambridge  IGCSE Physics Syllabus:

• It is important to keep a few things in mind while  going through the IGCSE Physics syllabus for 0625 and 0972 Physics
• First is refer to the correct examination year.
• If your school has already approved your choice of the cor or the extended [ supplement ] curriculum , then  , only focus on the core curriculum if you are a core student. But if you have opted for studying the IGCSE Extended [ supplement] curriculum, then  you need to study the core as well as the supplement curriculum.
• You may refer to any text book [ course book]  / Revision guide of your choice, but always remember to study everything that is mentioned in the syllabus. This is because eventually you have to appear for the Cambridge IGCSE Physics Examination, so you must know the curriculum content.
• Ideally the school may choose to teach the entire curriculum  over a period of 1 and a half year or  so.  You must understand that when a school teaches you, it has to conduct practicals as well as  assessments  , apart from teaching and other co-curricular activities. If you wish to study the complete curriculum  then it should not take you more than 6 months. It is the ideal to solve topic questions as and when you learn the topics. Hence along with paper solutions, it should take not more than a year.
• So then there is nothing like Cambridge IGCSE Year 10 syllabus or Cambridge IGCSE Year 9 syllabus. Cambridge Upper Secondary, sometimes it is also called so,    is a two year  program for 14-16 year old kids. So when it is IGCSE, it is simply IGCSE. What you need to pay attention is the subject code .
• There are two subject codes for IGCSE Physics, one being 0625 and the other being 0972 (9-1). Both the syllabi are the same in terms of the content, the difference lies in the reporting of the assessments. 
• So use the syllabus copy to plan your study before hand. decide how and when you wish to complete your syllabus, so that there is no last minute running around.
