About IGCSE Economics Past Papers:
From 2002 to 2008 , IGCSE Economics examinations was assessed through the following papers:
- Paper 1 ( Core MCQ)
- Paper 3 ( Extended MCQ)
- Paper 2 (Structured Theory Paper)
- Paper 5 ( Course work- School Assessed)
- Paper 6 ( Alternative to course work-Externally assessed)
From 2009 to 2013 the IGCSE Economics examinations were being assessed through the following papers:
- Paper 1 ( MCQ)
- Paper 2 ( Structured Theory)
- Paper 3 (Analysis and critical evaluation)
From 2014 to the present , IGCSE Economics examinations are being assessed through the following papers:
- Paper 1 (MCQ)
- Paper 2 (Structured Theory )
So, there have been many noteworthy changes in the number of papers that a student of economics 0455 had to appear for IGCSE Economics. Not only has there been a great change in the number of papers, the syllabus content has been carefully revised and made richer and more student friendly.
IGCSE Economics Syllabus:
IGCSE Economics Syllabus has seen some major revision in terms of the following:
- The number of units have been reduced form 8 units to 6 units
- The content has been deleted, added and reorganized to make it more student friendly.

- m20 stands for March Series 2020
- qp Stands for question paper
- qp12 stands for question paper 1 variant 2
- er stands for examiner report
- gt stands for grade thresholds
- qp 23 stands for question paper 2 and variant 3
- ms 23 stands for mark scheme 2 and variant 3
Note that until 2009, there was a single variant. But from 2010 , each paper was made in 3 variants. The variants have been made for administrative purpose only. Students need to solve past papers for IGCSE Economics for all available variants so as to get maximum practice.
